Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Nanwalek back in December of 2024, Tri-Valley came back down to earth. The Tri-Valley Warriors lost to the Fort Yukon Eagles at home by a 52-34 margin on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Fort Yukon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karli Thomas, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nellie Ward, who earned eight points and six rebounds.

Tri-Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-1. As for Fort Yukon, their record is now 5-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Tanalian the next time they take the court. Tri-Valley will head out to face Tanalian at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Fort Yukon will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
