Baseball Game Preview: Glenbard West Hilltoppers vs. West Chicago Wildcats

The Glenbard West Hilltoppers will challenge the West Chicago Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Glenbard West has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Saturday, Glenbard West came up short against Downers Grove South and fell 17-12. The Hilltoppers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but West Chicago ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Elmwood Park 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

West Chicago's win bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Glenbard West, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.

Everything went Glenbard West's way against West Chicago in their previous matchup back in May of 2016, as Glenbard West made off with a 13-3 victory. Do the Hilltoppers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
