Recap: Istrouma Indians vs. McKinley Panthers

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Istrouma Indians ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against McKinley and snuck past 68-66. That's two games straight that Istrouma has won by exactly two points.

It was another big night for Eryn Brown, who dropped a double-double on 40 points and 24 rebounds. That makes it 25 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Istrouma's points. The team also got some help courtesy of A'tiona Augustus, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Istrouma and bumps their season record up to 15-10. As for McKinley, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Istrouma won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Brusly at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Istrouma focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Friday. As for McKinley, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Michael at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
