Baseball Recap: Pallotti Takes a Loss

The Pallotti Panthers came up short against the Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines on Thursday, falling 15-8. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jerry Stanislaus and Gus Chackmakian-Lodge stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stanislaus went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double, while Chackmakian-Lodge went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Chackmakian-Lodge has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Buckner, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Pallotti's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pallotti will square off against Indian Creek at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will take on Dulaney at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
