Softball Recap: Claymont Wins Going Away Against Fairless

Claymont barely beat Fairless the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Falcons on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Claymont's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-6. As for Fairless, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coming up, Claymont will face off against John Glenn at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairless, they will host Smithville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Smithies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.11 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
