Basketball Game Preview: George Jenkins Eagles vs. Plant City Raiders

The George Jenkins Eagles will take on the Plant City Raiders on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, George Jenkins was able to grind out a solid victory over Durant, taking the game 61-51.

Meanwhile, Plant City humbled Armwood with an 85-51 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

George Jenkins better keep an eye on Logan Teeden. He was instrumental in Plant City's win, going 6 for 9 on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Teeden has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gavin Tinsley, who went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points and seven boards.

Plant City was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Armwood only racked up five assists.

Plant City has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for George Jenkins, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.

George Jenkins might still be hurting after the 74-50 loss they got from Plant City when the teams last played back in January of 2021. Can George Jenkins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
