Bayonne is a perfect 10-0 against Union City since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bees will take on the Soaring Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Bayonne's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Union City's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Bayonne didn't have quite enough to beat North Bergen and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bees have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Union City has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 13-5 to Rutherford. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Soaring Eagles have suffered since April 8, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Bayonne and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Union City, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Bayonne skirted past Union City 2-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bees since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
