Basketball Recap: Willmar Comes Up Short

Willmar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Alexandria Cardinals and fell 102-45. If Willmar was looking for revenge after losing 86-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chase Thompson had a dynamite game for Alexandria, putting up 31 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Witt, who posted 18 points.

Willmar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Alexandria, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Willmar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-48 loss against Brainerd on the 17th. Alexandria has also already played their next game, a 93-46 victory against Apollo on the 17th.
