Baseball Game Preview: Leslie County Eagles vs. Lee County Bobcats

Leslie County is a perfect 4-0 against Lee County since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Leslie County's offense. They lost 8-0 to Clay County on Tuesday.

Leslie County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Lee County came up short against Powell County on Tuesday and fell 6-1.

Lee County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Leslie County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-18.

Leslie County took their victory against Lee County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-5 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
