Jessica Burk posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits.

Coming up, Burk and Panther Creek will challenge Apex Friendship at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Burk has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (she's averaged 8.2 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering the Patriots have only allowed 3.93 per game this season.
