Soccer Game Preview: Pieper vs. Alamo Heights

The Pieper Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Alamo Heights Mules at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pieper will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Pieper's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Boerne-Champion as Pieper made off with a 4-0 win. Give the Warriors' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Alamo Heights came up short against Boerne on Friday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Greyhounds are ranked 71st).

Pieper pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three contests. As for Alamo Heights, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-2 and their overall record down to 5-2-3.
