Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeview Ravens vs. Caldera

For the second straight game, Ridgeview will face off against Caldera. The Ravens will take on Caldera at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeview will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Ridgeview beat Caldera 7-3.

Dylan Hertel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryden Nakamura, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Finn Chambers was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Ridgeview's win bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Caldera, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ridgeview has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game.
