Recap: Elkin Buckin' Elks vs. Wilkes Central Eagles
Even though the Elkin Buckin' Elks have not done well against the Wilkes Central Eagles recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Elkin narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Wilkes Central 44-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elkin.
Despite the loss, Wilkes Central still got an impressive performance from Anna Rollins, who scored 23 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds.
Elkin's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wilkes Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
