Baseball Recap: Kennebunk Find Success

Kennebunk won the last time they faced Cheverus and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Stags 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since May 6th.

Isaac Jensen made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. He has become a key player for Kennebunk: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-12 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Davis, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Stone, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Kennebunk's record now sits at 6-12. As for Cheverus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

As of now, neither Kennebunk nor the Stags have any future games scheduled.
