Basketball Game Preview: Arkoma Mustangs vs. Gans Grizzlies

Arkoma and Gans are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Arkoma Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Gans Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Arkoma was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Cameron. The Mustangs have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Gans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Gore 49-20. That's two games in a row now that the Grizzlies have lost by exactly 29 points.

Arkoma's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Gans, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Arkoma strolled past Gans in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 44-26. Does Arkoma have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
