Tularosa came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Dexter, but Emily DeLaRosa wouldn't allow it. The Demons came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Thursday with plenty of help from DeLaRosa, who had five digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 22 times she's played.

The win didn't come easy: Tularosa scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23.

Dexter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaellie Vandenbout, who had eight kills, three aces, and two blocks. That's the most aces Vandenbout has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Melody Duran, who had seven kills, three digs, two aces, and one block.

They weren't the only good servers: Dexter was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tularosa only served four.

Despite the loss, Tularosa still got an impressive performance from Tamara Chavez, who had 20 digs.

The win snapped Dexter's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 13-8 record. As for Tularosa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
