Recap: West Laurens Raiders vs. Griffin Bears
The West Laurens Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 12th straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 75-52 defeat at the hands of Griffin. West Laurens has not had much luck with Griffin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
West Laurens' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dorian Watkins, who scored 11 points, and Rj Whipple who scored five points.
West Laurens' defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Griffin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
West Laurens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Griffin, they will take on Spalding at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Griffin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
