Elk Rapids waltzed into their game on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They put the hurt on the Grant Tigers with a sharp 14-4 win. Considering the Elks have won ten matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Rhielynn Skrocki made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 16 contests.
In other batting news, Brooke Fluty was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Coraline Rainey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
