Soccer Recap: Keystone Comes Up Short

Keystone lost against North Clarion back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of Wolves by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Keystone can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 530th, while North Clarion are ranked 193rd).

August Defibaugh wasn't going to let North Clarion walk away unscathed as he scored both of Keystone's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Keystone has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-2 record this season. As for North Clarion, their victory bumped their record up to 13-0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keystone will square off against Redbank Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Redbank Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Keystone surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Clarion, they will welcome Karns City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
