Antigo waltzed into their game on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Medford Raiders. This was a revenge game for the Red Robins: when they faced off against the Raiders back in April, they had to take a 10-2 loss.

Bethany Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Breleigh Akright was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Ava Cornelious was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.

Antigo's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Medford, they moved to 17-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Antigo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Medford, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Marathon at 4:30 p.m. The Red Raiders will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
