Basketball Recap: Metrolina Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Cole Torrez and Malachi Wilson

The Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors took a 59-40 bruising from the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Trojans are ranked 23rd).

Metrolina Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Malachi Wilson and Cole Torrez. Wilson posted ten points, while Torrez had eight points.

Metrolina Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7.
