Softball Recap: Devine's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Devine entered their tilt with Hebbronville on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Hebbronville Longhorns.

Maddie Brown was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Skylar Blanton was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Devine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Devine's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Hebbronville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Devine will be playing at home against Nixon-Smiley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Hebbronville has already played their next game (against Gonzales), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
