Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southmoreland). They came out on top against the Waynesburg Central Raiders by a score of 72-62 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Scotties who have now won six matchups in a row.

Southmoreland's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Waynesburg Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Coincidentally, Southmoreland and Waynesburg Central will both be playing Ligonier Valley the next time they take the court. Southmoreland will head out to face Ligonier Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Waynesburg Central will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
