Northeastern had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 59-0 win over the Rock Hill Redmen. The Jets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Northeastern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cody Houseman led the charge by rushing for 188 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. That's the most rushing yards Houseman has posted since back in August. Jacoby Newman was another key player, gaining 130 total yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Northeastern was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 417 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Northeastern's defense and their 5.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jackson Jones and Stephen Roddy, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Northeastern, bringing their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.6 points on average over those games. As for Rock Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Northeastern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-8 defeat against Anna on the 14th. Rock Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
