Baseball Recap: Athens Drive Comes Up Short

While it was Athens Drive who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was Cardinal Gibbons who put up more. The Jaguars lost 8-2 to the Crusaders. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Athens Drive saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Harrell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Athens Drive has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6.
