Baseball Recap: Middletown South Eagles vs. Colts Neck Cougars
Middletown South was the 13-8 winner over Colts Neck when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 14-10 to the Cougars on Monday.
Middletown South got a good showing from Michael Gough, who tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Gough a new career-low.
On the hitting side, Jack Concordia was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Pat Dempsey also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
