Softball Recap: Hurley Gets the Win

While Hurley's victory against Wright wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Northstars won by a run and slipped past the Red Devils 1-0. The win continues a trend for the Northstars in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Olivia Digiorgio's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Hurley's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Piper Romosz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

The win got Hurley back to even at 3-3. As for Wright, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hurley beat the Red Devils by a score of 6-0 later that day.
