Softball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Danville's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Pekin Dragons on Saturday. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in May of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Danville and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Pekin, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danville will challenge Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pekin, they will take on East Peoria at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
