Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shrewsbury). They were the clear victor by a 73-53 margin over the Fitchburg Red Raiders on Friday. Given the Colonials' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Shrewsbury and bumps their season record up to 6-5. As for Fitchburg, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Shrewsbury has already played their next game, an 80-68 loss against Leominster on the 4th. As for Fitchburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-55 defeat against Burncoat on the 4th.
