Basketball Recap: Lima Senior Extends Home Winning Streak to 18

Lima Senior won the last time they faced Scott and things went their way on Monday too. The Lima Senior Spartans breezed past the Scott Bulldogs to the tune of 72-31. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 25 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Scott saw an underclassman step up: freshman Rodney 'Todd' Buchannon posted four points along with six assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trametreous 'M. J.' Foster, Jr., who scored seven points.

Lima Senior pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.9 points over those games. As for Scott, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-14.

Coming up, Lima Senior won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Perrysburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Perrysburg will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Lima Senior surely won't give up without a fight. Scott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
