Basketball Recap: Taylor's Crossing Takes a Loss

After flying high against American Heritage back in December of 2024, Taylor's Crossing came back down to earth. The Taylor's Crossing Eagles came up short against the Grace Lutheran Royals on Tuesday, falling 54-32. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Royals recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Taylor's Crossing lost, don't look at Reagan Smith. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points and three steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallee Gorton, who put up eight points and 16 rebounds.

Taylor's Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Grace Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Taylor's Crossing will host Watersprings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor's Crossing's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Watersprings' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Grace Lutheran, they will square off against Mackay at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
