Basketball Recap: Reeltown Comes Up Short

Reeltown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-46 loss at the hands of the LaFayette Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 172nd).

When it comes to explaining why Reeltown lost, don't look at Finn Henderson. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points and three steals. Hudson Wood was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, Reeltown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Reeltown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for LaFayette, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

Reeltown has already played their next contest, a 38-36 victory against Holtville on the 16th. As for LaFayette, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-54 win against Loachapoka on the 15th.
