Baseball Recap: Taravella Gets the Win

While Taravella's win against Coral Springs Charter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Taravella Trojans won by a run and slipped past the Coral Springs Charter Panthers 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Michael Ghann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Zach Stephens was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Anthony Toizol also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Stephens wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Taravella kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Taravella's record now sits at 7-2. As for Coral Springs Charter, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Taravella will be playing at home against West Broward at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Taravella has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Coral Springs Charter, they will challenge American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. American Heritage's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Coral Springs Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
