After a string of four wins, the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Sleepy Eye by a score of 55-53. The result was an unpleasant reminder to New Ulm Cathedral of the 57-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
When it comes to explaining why New Ulm Cathedral lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jevan Wilfahrt. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds. Wilfahrt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elliott Hoffman, who scored eight points.
New Ulm Cathedral's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Sleepy Eye, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

As for Sleepy Eye, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cedar Mountain at 7:30 p.m. Cedar Mountain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 357 points over their last five contests.
