Soccer Game Preview: Tolleson vs. Brophy College Prep

The Tolleson Wolverines will challenge the Brophy College Prep Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tolleson heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Wednesday. They came up short against Salpointe Catholic, falling 5-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wolverines haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brophy College Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Their defense stepped up to hand O'Connor a 2-0 shutout on Friday. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Eagles are ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shubhan Kulkarni and Nico Mcgalla scored both of Brophy College Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Tolleson's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Brophy College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
