Volleyball Recap: George Washington's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

George Washington's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Kennedy Commanders 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant George Washington was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-14.

Leading George Washington to victory were Danial Dehno and Phillip Abad. Dehno had eight digs and four aces, while Abad had nine assists and seven digs. That's the most assists Abad has posted over his last seven contests.

George Washington's record now sits at 4-7. As for Kennedy, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

George Washington and Kennedy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time George Washington sees the court they'll take on Gateway at 5:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Kennedy, their break will end when they face Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on April 7.
