Recap: Withrow Tigers vs. Meadowdale Lions

The Withrow Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 72-52 walloping at the hands of Meadowdale. Withrow was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Meadowdale apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.

Despite the loss, Withrow still got an impressive performance from Michael Johnson, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Coker, who scored ten points.

Withrow has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Meadowdale, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Withrow will take on Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Taft knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Withrow likes a good challenge. As for Meadowdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson Township at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meadowdale is coming into the contest with seven straight victories at home, meaning Jefferson Township will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
