Cherry Creek dropped down to 3-2 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles 32-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bruins were not able to get on the board.

As for Mountain Vista, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 30.6 points thus far.

Ariana Akey had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 291 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 31 yards and one score. She also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass.

Cherry Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Mountain Vista, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 27-6 victory against Arvada West on the 28th.
