League recap: Northside tops St. Pauls to extend winning streak

2A Conference 18 recap November 19, 2013

Northside added to the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 18 this week by beating St. Pauls, 45-14. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Monarchs.

North Brunswick scaled the state rankings by moving to 119 from 172 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Scorpions were able to move up by besting Randleman 49-17.

North Brunswick's Randy Clark and Kevon Perkins have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Clark has thrown for 676 yards this season, while Perkins has 13 catches for 331 yards. Malik Simons from Dixon leads the league in rushing with 1,899 yards.

Garry Bishop's team took down the Tigers 49-17 last week, the largest margin of any game.
