Basketball Recap: Tindley Takes a Loss

Tindley was the 47-45 winner over Heritage Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tindley Tigers were outmatched by the Heritage Christian Eagles and fell 69-41. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Tindley lost on Thursday, don't look at Jordon 'Jett' Turner. Despite the final result, he posted ten points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Wilson Makori, who scored nine points.

Caleb Flint was a one-man wrecking crew for Heritage Christian as he went 7-for-9 to rack up 21 points. The dominant performance also gave Flint a new career-high in field goal percentage (78%). Nick Dearman also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Tindley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Heritage Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Tindley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-34 win against Indiana Math & Science Academy North on the 8th. As for Heritage Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-54 victory against University on the 8th.
