Volleyball Recap: Cass Comes Up Short

Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rockmart Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colonels of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Cass started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-15, 15-3.

Cass' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Rockmart, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Coming up, Cass will take on McDonough at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rockmart, they will face off against Woodland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
