Preview: Richlands Wildcats vs. Northern Nash Knights
The Richlands Wildcats will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Northern Nash Knights at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Richlands really took it to Dixon for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-27 victory on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-6.
Meanwhile, Northern Nash humbled Rocky Mount with a 59-24 victory. Given Northern Nash's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Rocky Mount is ranked 193rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northern Nash's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijay Pitt, who threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Jaquille Arrington was in the mix too, providing Northern Nash with two touchdowns.
Richlands is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Northern Nash, their victory was their 15th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1.
