Basketball Recap: Riverside-Brookfield's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

Riverside-Brookfield was the 59-46 winner over Thornwood when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunderbirds on Saturday. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Thornwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mekhi Young out in front who shot 54% from the field en route to 18 points. Young is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jones, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Riverside-Brookfield fell to 3-1. As for Thornwood, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Riverside-Brookfield will host Fenton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Thornwood, they will venture away from home to challenge Chicago Vocational at 6:40 p.m. on Monday.
