Basketball Recap: Jordan Takes a Loss

Jordan lost against Murray back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jordan Beetdiggers were dealt a 61-29 loss at the hands of the Murray Spartans. The matchup marked the Beetdiggers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Jordan still got an impressive performance from Nate Osborne, who posted four points.

Even though they lost, Jordan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Murray got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Davies out in front who went 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Naish Hinckley, who had 11 points.

Jordan dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Murray, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan will take on Cottonwood in a holiday battle at at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Murray and Kearns will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Murray is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.
