Baseball Recap: Pearl Triumphs

Pearl lost to Brookhaven back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Pearl now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Brookhaven, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Pearl will host Raymond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brookhaven, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
