Softball Recap: Yazoo City Comes Up Short

Yazoo City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 19-7 to the Natchez Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-18 last Tuesday.

Yazoo City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Natchez, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Yazoo City is taking a road trip to take on Humphreys County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Natchez, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against South Jones at 6:00 p.m. Natchez knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully South Jones likes a good challenge.
