Volleyball Recap: Pawnee City Indians vs. Falls City Tigers

Pawnee City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falls City Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17.

Taelyn Blecha paced Pawnee City's offense, picking up five kills. Blecha got some help from Ainsley Rauner and her six assists.

Falls City was led to victory by Hallie Young and Leah Goff. Young had six digs and three aces, while Goff had ten assists and five digs.

Pawnee City's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Falls City, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.

Pawnee City has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Nodaway-Holt on the 11th. As for Falls City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sterling on the 11th.
