Basketball Recap: Campbellsville's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Campbellsville had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees 63-61. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Campbellsville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keaton Hord out in front who went 8 for 19 on his way to 18 points. Jalen Gribbins was another key player, putting up 14 points and five assists.

Campbellsville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Bethlehem, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Campbellsville and Monroe County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Campbellsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Bethlehem, they will challenge Nelson County at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
