Football Recap: Connersville Spartans vs. Shelbyville Golden Bears
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Connersville can now relate to. They lost 35-14 to the Shelbyville Golden Bears on Friday. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Despite the loss, Connersville still got an impressive performance from Braydon Keller, who rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown.
Donavon Martin produced another solid performance rushing for 163 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry for Shelbyville. Martin is becoming a predictor of the Golden Bears' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 5-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
