Basketball Game Preview: Vincent Yellow Jackets vs. Comer Tigers

The Vincent Yellow Jackets will square off against the Comer Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Vincent's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Comer has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, Vincent took their contest with ease, bagging a 54-16 victory over West Blocton. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Comer faced off against Shelby County on Friday. Comer was beaten by Shelby County 72-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 406th, while the Wildcats are ranked 152nd).

Vincent is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Comer, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
